First certificated Special Needs Judo Teacher in the
Netherlands
On
Monday 7th June in the first four successful candidates of the Judo teacher for
Special Needs were rewarded with their certificate. Peter van der Sluis, Cees
van Delft, Stefan Meeldijk and Willem van Leeuwen received this out of the hands
of Tom Kempkens JBN board member for special needs.
The Dutch Judo
Federation is of the opinion that judo has buildup an image were students gain
self-respect and self confidence, simply trough the structure of the
sport.
Therefore judo is particularly suitable for the development and
treatment of traumatized children, autistics, ADHD patients, obesities children.
Furthermore beside the progression of physical ability, it stimulates
behaviorally the Intellectual disabled children and other young people
indicated by youth welfare.
The first training started in October 2009,
under the leadership of René de Boer summed up and consisted of four course days
and five intervision meetings. D
In addition, the learner, is the minimum
required to judo teacher A (level 3), shall be deemed to study various
literature about the disabled, and it was required of all meetings to
report.

open Dutch judo championships held on
18 and 19 September 2010 in
Odijk.

Open German Championship Individual 2010
successful
In the weekend of May 8th, the German Judo Federation in cooperation
with the German Sport Federation for Disabled, organized the Open German
Championships Individual 2010. Unfortunately only the Dutch SN selection entered
this event. It is a pity that other countries were not capable to attend.
Hopefully they will attend the Dutch Championships in September 2010 in Odijk.
The German organization has done everything in their power to make this event a
success. For instance, the opening was very spectacular done by the German
percussion group Taiko.

This main stream
judoclub with 100 main stream judoka included 2 special needs groups. 1 youth
group and 1 senior group.
In 2011 with the financial support of the counsel
of the village a brand new dojo will be built with a tatami of
400
m2.
