Johanna Sjöstrand

My name is Johanna Sjöstrand and I’m 25 years old. I live in Stockholm, Sweden. I practice judo 3 times a week in my judoclub, IK Södra.

I have practiced judo for 15 years and I have a brown belt, 1 kyu.

It was my mother that told me about judo and I thought it would be fun to try.

Now I have a lot of  friends in the club and I enjoy it very much.

I like to go to other countries and meet new and old friends. I have been to camps and competitions in Holland, Finland, Slovenia, Germany, England and Wales. And it’s soooo fun!

I like judo because I can practice with my friends. I learn a lot of new things that I never tried before. My favourite throw is Ippon-seio-nage (if it works!)  I don’t know which holding that I like most… But I hope that I know it next weekend when I’ll compete in SONG (Special Olympics Nordic Games) in Uddevalla
