General Information:

This tournament will be held in sport hall “De Walvis” in Beverwijk.

The tournament will be divided in a morning and an afternoon competition.

The competition will be played on 8 tatami’s, judged by 2 referees, 3 table officials and guided by 2 tatami assistants recognizable by the coloured  T shirts red (aka) and white (shiro). The contest-space is only accessible for participants and their accompanists. Supporters ought to take place on the public galleries. We will have about 400  judoka’s participating in a morning and an afternoon competition.

In the afternoon there will be a weigh-in for level 1 and 2

For foreign participants there is a free pick-up service from the airport

No entry-fee and a free lunch-package for all judoka’s, coaches and foreign supporters.

For your overnight stay, we recommend that you book in the Stayokay hostel Assumburg

Arrival Judo-contestants

Coaches receive the game-cards and coach-buttons at the entrance, in an envelope. For every participant there is a coloured game-card with the persons name, mat-number and pool-number. This coloured card corresponds with the number and colour of the balloons, the concerning official table at the judo-mat. Lunch tickets will be provided at the same time.

Referees will be coordinated by Mrs. Jenny Koster.

Table officials will be coordinated by Mr. Dennis Sissing.

Even sufficient information has been supplied as how to fill in the game-forms to form the pools ahead of time. We still can and will interfere and change the pools during the competition. Off course in cooperation with the concerning coach and head referee.

Even then we will consider all possibilities concerning level, age, gender and weight of the participants.

The pool-classification is based on Judo Skills Classification, so not based on the limitation of the judoka’s. Pools with more than 7 judoka’s will be divided in two pool sections which will be reversed by mid-competition between 1st and 2nd of the pool sections.

By pools less than 4 competitors, there will be a full competition, where the judoka’s fight each other twice, once on red and once on white.

Results will be measured by competition points by a draw judo points, still a draw after that, then the judoka’s will fight the final game without golden score.

 

Award ceremony               

Every pool- 1st, 2nd, 3rd  and all other judoka’s 4th prize. The award starts on tatami 1 and ends on tatami 8. Presentation of prizes will take place with a podium and performed by a top judoka. At the end of the competition part, coaches will be able to collect the results at the contest-secretariat.

Beverwijk is a municipality and a town in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. The town is located about 20 kilometers (12 miles) northwest of Amsterdam in the Randstad metropolitan area, north of the North Sea Canal very close to the North Sea coast. A railroad tunnel and two motorway tunnels cross the canal between Beverwijk and the nearby city of Haarlem on the south bank.
